- Dance music station Energy 92.7/5 in Chicago plays a sweeper every couple of hours before some 90's dance tune that goes something like "The 90's...One Big Party!" Will we be as nostalgic for the relatively care-free 90's as others once were for the Roaring 20's? (11.25.2002)
- A few observations on marriage (a subject on which I am far from being an expert): Apparently it's hard for women to be married scientists, though I would have to wonder why since lots of men want rational women. Of course, well-educated women are having trouble in general, since we men are doing our part to remain stupid in all ways possible. In fact, we're not even speaking the same language when it comes to marriage to begin with. This could be a causal factor in the age gap between the genders, as men tend to marry women about two years younger than them (at least the first time around). (11.24.2002)
- Go online bar-hopping around Cedar Falls: get your schwerve on at Shag's, hang at Broosters, slander Tony's, or get retro at Joker's. (11.1.2002)
- It's a disappointment when politicians decry good ideas (as California Governor Gray Davis does with energy-market deregulation) when there is substantial, well-reasoned evidence to the contrary that simply hasn't been popularized. (11.1.2002)
