North Korea May Be Testing Nukes
The U.S. administration is worried that Kim Jong Il is up to something, and a huge blast near the Chinese border has South Korea asking questions. Official word has it that it wasn't a nuclear test, but a column of smoke almost 8 km (almost 5 miles) in diameter is certainly suspicious.

Attack on Australian Embassy Caught on Tape
Security videos show the attack in Jakarta. Why attack an Australian embassy in Indonesia? September 13th's Carnival of the Capitalists
Hosted this week by Josh Cohen at d-42.com. Personal favorites: How to buy a business, why the savings rate has to go up, and reasons to expect more terror attacks by Islamic fascists. The CotC series is certainly one of the most worthwhile efforts on the Web; contributors include libertarians, Objectivists, economists, and pro-business types of all stripes. The next edition appears at VoluntaryXChange.
