Canadian Newspapers Criticized for Calling Terrorists "Terrorists"
CanWest papers have inserted the word "terrorist" into wire stories filed by Reuters and others. The "Best of the Web" column from OpinionJournal, a branch of the Wall Street Journal, has been critical for some time of Reuters' on-and-off use of the word "terrorist" and their use of "scare quotes" to insert a subtle editorial bias. Now it's Reuters getting indignant because CanWest took measures to correct Reuters' imbalance.
