How to Block Popup Windows Generated by Flash Elements in Firefox
Some tricksters figured out that Firefox's pop-up blockers didn't prevent Flash from creating pop-ups, so they programmed small Flash elements into pages that then forced the popups to appear in the background. But an easy solution exists.
