BMI tends to hit a low point in early childhood (between the time the baby fat wears off and the time puberty sets kids on their adult sizes). The earlier kids' BMI starts to rise again, the higher their risk of heart problems later on.

But in all probability, it's not going to come to fruition on a massive scale until someone with a strong profit motive gets involved, and there's no serious talk coming from anyone holding huge bags of money.

Poland and the Czech Republic are among the new free-roamer countries. It's hard to believe how far they've come since 1989.
