Gongol and Dean Show Notes - September 21, 2003
Brian Gongol

It's our inaugural show! We hope you'll enjoy "Gongol & Dean" as much as we plan to enjoy making it. On this first show, we're going to talk about the end of the Great Big Party that was the Internet boom, as AOL/Time Warner becomes good old fashioned Time Warner once again. Ah, those boom days were such fun times. Even if none of us knew how to read stock charts correctly.

Another Internet subject for you tonight...Network Solutions, the folks who control the traffic to every ".com" and ".net" website, are hijacking the millions of mistyped web addresses that Internet users tap in every day. Seems likely to make Microsoft and AOL hot under the collar, since they both make millions of dollars every year selling those "May we suggest these..." links.

We'll be taking your calls at 515-284-1040 or 1-800-469-4295.
