Presidential candidate Dick Gephardt is making an International Minimum Wage a central campaign plank. While it's not the craziest idea ever floated by a serious Presidential candidate, it's blisteringly ignorant of the simple facts of any minimum wage. We'll talk about the two things that are guaranteed to happen under an international minimum wage. Neither one is good for anybody involved.
And with the news of possible BSE ("mad cow disease") cases in the West, we'll take some time to see if there aren't much bigger health concerns to be worried about. (There are.)
