Don't make jokes about the "freshman 15" at the University of New Hampshire...it could get you kicked off campus. It's ridiculous but true. Almost as ridiculous as Jerry Falwell forgetting that the Constitution says "no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States" or the fact people still believe in Communism and the socialist fairy tale, 15 years after the Soviet empire fell apart.
How long will it take to end our oil problem? Probably a very long time -- especially when we're siphoning off an ever-rising share of national income for deadweight entitlement programs instead of investing in the private sector. That's right: The Social Security problem is one of the causes of high gas prices.
