- Soybean and corn prices are sky-high. Part of the reason is that we are way, way, way below normal for precipitation.
- I think we should be open to the idea of welcoming new states to the Union. Maybe Cuba, once the Castros die off? America's borders (and Canada's) have evolved a lot in the last hundred years, but we seem to think as though that evolution has stopped. It hasn't. Not permanently.
- Motorola is moving to downtown Chicago. But is it really an efficient move? The Chicagoland area won't have any net change in jobs -- it's just that some people will have a longer commute and others a shorter one than they do today to Motorola's headquarters in the northern suburbs.
- Is bad grammar a disqualification for employment? Should it be?
