The most destabilizing force in the world

Young, unemployed males are the most destabilizing force in most places in the world.

Peace won't ever come to the Middle East (particularly to the Palestinian territories) until the economies there mature such that young men have some kind of materially appealing alternative to violence. The ILO says that 70% of the population there is under age 30, and unemployment among males ages 15 to 24 is over 45%. Dropout rates are very high, and college degrees are scarce. That's a recipe for pure volatility. Take a look at other places with persistent troubles with violence (like Chicago, where violence is at alarming levels and 92% of black teenage males are jobless) or even sporadic (where it's no surprise that protests in Paris have turned violent)
