Money as a depreciating asset
Money is a depreciating asset...if it sits around, it tends to lose buying power to inflation. The returns to money can only really be captured when employed in large chunks, so you have to balance sitting on enough dry powder to get what you really want with the deterioration of the asset. 25% to 35% dry powder is probably enough.
