Lessons and tricks
- Use variations on the same color scheme to offset labels like "fax"
- Narrow type with light bounding boxes can increase available white space
- Reversed backgrounds for labels (phone, web, etc.) provide a good offset
- Name and number bold and black, secondary info in color, tertiary in gray
- If stacking vertically, bunch headings ("Mobile/office/fax") in bold and stack content beneath in lighter weight
- Logo and name can occupy space equivalent to stars field on the US flag
- Establish and stick to a grid
- Varying weights of horizontal lines can make an interesting impression
Colors
- Blue and white with orange accents
- Light blue and white on navy
- Variations of blue on white and reversed
- Blue that can handle both white and black text
- Variations on green with white background
Fonts
- "Outage" from Lost Type for title text looks good with a color offset
